Cadium Music’s 2024 had some interesting highlights and some unexpected turn of events, as well.

The Expected and Unexpected

Going into the year with multiple releases from Attila was to be expected, but the ebb of releases from Rachel Lorin was not. The New York pop/rocker made some changes to her creative team in the hopes of taking her act to another level. As of this writing, it looks like there will be some results from Lorin’s recalibration with at least one song dropping in the first quarter of next year. It wasn’t entirely a plateau moment for Lorin, though, as she recorded in Los Angeles over the summer and played some live dates to fill out her visit. After seeing her perform, there’s no question that she brings it live, as one of her performances included a searing version of Whitesnake’s “Still Of the Night.”

Rob Endling landed a co-write for the upcoming One OK Rock album, due out 2/25. Details on the track itself have yet to be revealed publicly, but the track puts Endling in some tighter rock circles, which bodes well for the Atlanta-based writer producer.

Chris Linck’s co-write of “Fireball Days” finally got its release under the project Emerald Royce (Tyler Carter). While there was little more than a video to promote the song, other ways to support the country/rock track will continue.

Productive Year for Martin, Attila

Curtis Martin had another productive year, writing with and producing Colorblind, Call Me Karizma and Phix, as well as usual suspects Ekoh and Ryan Oakes. In addition to that, the Catch Your Breath deluxe release of Shame On Me was finally released in September. Bonus tracks include the crown jewel of the band’s repertoire, “Good in Goodbye.” Co-written by Martin and Chris Linck, the track is off to a slow start, but that’s not due to the song itself. Whenever the band posts a clip from GIG to social media, a cascade of comments pour in with many saying that the song has been cathartic to those dealing with loss. CYB continues to promote the song, which most assuredly will be included in the band’s upcoming set on The Broken Souls Tour (the band’s first headlining tour), which begins in February.

In other Martin/Catch Your Breath news, the band’s best performing single, “Dial Tone,” has achieved enough streams (87M on Spotify, to date), to qualify for RIAA gold certification (500,000 equivalent units).

Circling back to Attila, the guys toured the U.S. and Europe and songs such as “Bite Your Tongue” and “Timebomb” continue to resonate with their fans.

Jake E. Lee Shooting

In October, Jake E. Lee survived gunshot wounds while walking his dog. The incident, which occurred at night, involved Lee preventing an attempted theft of a motorcycle by two individuals. Lee is out of the hospital and is convalescing at home. The assailants, unfortunately, are still at large.

The Year Ahead

While we can’t reveal the details about multiple 2025 releases in the works by multiple Cadium writers (aside from those mentioned previously), there will be plenty to share in the new year.
