Cadium Music had another successful year, led by the Kevin Churko-produced Disturbed album, Immortalized. The group’s seventh album was released in 2015 and garnered four number one songs at U.S. rock radio, three co-written by Churko – “The Vengeful One,” “The Light” and “Open Your Eyes.” “Eyes” remains on the rock radio charts going into 2017 and Immortalized was certified Gold earlier this year. Churko co-wrote and produced the album.
Not far behind as far as radio and retail success, Five Finger Death Punch’s latest album, Got Your Six, yielded a number one at U.S. rock radio with “Wash It All Away” and the album, also released in 2015, was certified Gold this year. Churko also co-wrote and produced the album.
Chester Rushing had success this year, but instead of music, it was in Cable. The Texas singer/songwriter had a role in the successful Netflix series, Stranger Things. Playing high school jerk, Tommy H., Rushing obviously nailed the part, as he got more than his fair share of hate mail from ST fans, wishing for his character to have an untimely demise. Rushing is poised to return for Season Two of the series.
While it’s bit pre-mature to divulge any details, 2017 looks to include some anticipated releases, and roster signings.
