Cadium Music’s 2021 Year-End Wrap and What’s Next

Admittedly, this post should have come earlier in the quarter. Instead of a close look at what transpired over the last few months, this piece has morphed into becoming Cadium Music's 2021 Year-End Wrap. The year got off to a fast start with the signing of writer and Rikets frontman, Scott Rose. COVID-19, however, continued to interrupt the creative process and the production of the new Rikets album, which included potential collaborations with Mark Lorenzo, got shelved. Southbound 75 Continue to Rise Southbound 75, continued to build its base in south Florida and finally released Tales from the Black Swamp through Bad Jeu [...]

Southbound 75 Debuts Its First Video

Image from The Country Network clip of Southbound 75's "Not Ready to Say I'm Sorry Yet" Since signing to Bill McDermott's Roxy Entertainment Group, Southbound 75 debuts its first video, July 15. "Not Ready to Say I'm Sorry Yet" will premiere on The Country Network. The video intends to add momentum to the Tampa, Florida-based country rockers, who recently played a live show in front of a live audience (but safely, of course). Hopefully the video will lead to more social-distanced performances in the near future. The period of the initial lockdown allowed the band more time to prepare the video [...]

Southbound 75 Finish Florida State Fair with a Flurry

Some of the hardest work an act does is playing to live audiences. Everything from the planning and preparation for the show (or tour) to rehearsals and then there's the now and again setback to deal with. Since the second half of last year, Southbound 75 have been slowly growing into a consistent live act. Beginning with spot dates throughout Florida, to occasional callbacks to play some venues a second time (or more), to a residency in Key Largo for a few weeks. While playing every day (and multiple times a day) at this year's Florida State Fair, this is another step in [...]

Cadium Year-End Wrap for 2019

For Cadium Music, it was the year of finally working in the genre of Hip hop. For years, the focus has been mostly in rock and pop (the genres the company knows best), but due to the discovery of up and coming rapper, Ekoh, the path to the hip hop world opened. The three writers (and signed to Cadium this year) who write in hip hop (and work with the aforementioned Ekoh) are Sean Kennedy, Curtis Martin and Rob Endling. All three writers are also producers and quite fluent in most, if not all, aspects of recording. Kennedy writes beats and in addition [...]

Southbound 75 and Growing Your Live Show Audience

Southbound 75 recently had a run of dates at a club called Cowboy Bill’s in Key West Florida. The expectations were low, because the band and management didn’t know what to expect. In addition, the guys would be performing during Key West’s tourist off-season. It was a lesson in growing your audience. Due to SB75’s contractual obligations, the band wasn’t allowed any breaks during their four-hour sets, which inhibited their chances to mingle with patrons at the merch table. While the club’s attendance vacillated from near empty to reasonably full, the prospects of growing the Florida market looked dim for the first few [...]

Cadium Music Ramping Up for Busy 4th Quarter of 2019

The fourth quarter for Cadium Music is shaping up to be an active one. This month, Rachel Lorin will be releasing “Gold,” a track from her forth-coming album. Finnish rockers, Santa Cruz, will be releasing their album, Katharsis, October 18. Rob Endling has two co-writes: “Into the War,” which was released as a lyric video earlier this year, and “Bang Bang.” On November 8, Otherwise will be releasing their new album, [...]

Southbound 75 Gearing Up for More Shows

Country act, Southbound 75, have been around for a few years and playing mostly in the South Florida area from time to time; however, this year the band have been doing a significant amount of wood-shedding and working with producer Bill McDermott (Tim, McGraw, Brad Paisley, Jo Dee Messina) to upgrade their sound. Along side that, the band have been playing more shows. Along with time at the workbench, SB75 have also been able to get more of a foothold in the Florida club circuit, beginning with 10 shows in a two week period at Cowboy Bill's in Key West, September 18-29. Other [...]

Cadium Music Publishing – Year in Review

Cadium Music Publishing ends 2017 with some notable accomplishments, but the real story is what's ahead. Here is this year's year in review. First, Kane Churko co-wrote two songs for Japan's One OK Rock, which appear on the Japanese release of the album, Ambitions. While the band is relatively unknown in North America, the album went double platinum in the band's homeland. Churko was also nominated for a Dove Award for his work on Skillet's Unleashed. Chester Rushing was more active as an actor than as a musician (more on the musician part, later), appearing in Season Two of Stranger Things, having significant [...]
