2020 Opens with Cadium News and Buzz

Before 2020 got started, Ekoh and Lolife released new material. Lolife dropped "Liar," which has a surprisingly nice Level 42 vibe to it - complete with saxophone. Curtis Martin co-wrote the track. Also, Ekoh decided to squeeze in one more song before the end of 2019 with "Owe You Nothin'." Martin and Sean Kennedy co-wrote. On to 2020... Not long after the year began, Ekoh released "Peace," which features Ember. Due to the alacrity of Ekoh releases, the production credits have yet to be sorted out. Rob Endling, Sean Kennedy and Curtis Martin all had a hand in the track. CM Talkington's debut album has a [...]

Cadium Year-End Wrap for 2019

For Cadium Music, it was the year of finally working in the genre of Hip hop. For years, the focus has been mostly in rock and pop (the genres the company knows best), but due to the discovery of up and coming rapper, Ekoh, the path to the hip hop world opened. The three writers (and signed to Cadium this year) who write in hip hop (and work with the aforementioned Ekoh) are Sean Kennedy, Curtis Martin and Rob Endling. All three writers are also producers and quite fluent in most, if not all, aspects of recording. Kennedy writes beats and in addition [...]

Chester Rushing Covers Maroon 5 Song, “One More Night,” for Trailer Music

Actor and musician, Chester Rushing, has covered the Maroon 5 song, "One More Night." The track is available on Spotify and will be pitched to trailer houses and other media for placements. The native Texan was paired with composer/producer, Jeff Fayman, to cover various songs, all to be exploited for commercial use. Fayman's goal is to take previously recorded compositions and record them in a variety of [...]

Southbound 75 and Growing Your Live Show Audience

Southbound 75 recently had a run of dates at a club called Cowboy Bill’s in Key West Florida. The expectations were low, because the band and management didn’t know what to expect. In addition, the guys would be performing during Key West’s tourist off-season. It was a lesson in growing your audience. Due to SB75’s contractual obligations, the band wasn’t allowed any breaks during their four-hour sets, which inhibited their chances to mingle with patrons at the merch table. While the club’s attendance vacillated from near empty to reasonably full, the prospects of growing the Florida market looked dim for the first few [...]

Rapper, Ekoh, continues his climb in the Hip Hop world with a new track featuring Futuristic. The song, "Let Down," was released today on all platforms. "Let Down" was co-written by Cadium writer, Sean Kennedy. Kennedy has been a close creative ally of Ekoh's, writing several tracks with the rapper, as well as producing some of them. Having Futuristic in the creative mix will elevate Ekoh's stature, both as a performer as well as a writer. Some of Futuristic's releases have charted nationally, as his fanbase expands. Ekoh heads out on the road, beginning October 8 and opens for Futuristic October 19 in [...]

Country act, Southbound 75, have been around for a few years and playing mostly in the South Florida area from time to time; however, this year the band have been doing a significant amount of wood-shedding and working with producer Bill McDermott (Tim, McGraw, Brad Paisley, Jo Dee Messina) to upgrade their sound.
